Starting at 9am from outside the Ferry Building on Quay Street, downtown Auckland. Rangitoto is the newest volcano in the Auckland volcanic field; its symmetrical cone is backdrop to many pictures of Auckland. The summit provides a spectacular view of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf. Pest-free Motutapu Island is home to the largest ecological restoration endeavour in New Zealand. We will catch the ferry and traverse up to the summit, then across to Motutapu and loop back to the ferry.

For this run you will need:

• Running gear
• Trail/off road shoes are highly recommended
• Running pack with water
• Food
• Sunscreen (hat recommended)

Only limited toilet facilities and no water or food is available on the island. More details will be sent to you once you book.
